Apraxia Treatment Camp is designed for children diagnosed with Childhood Apraxia of Speech.

One-on-one intervention focuses on learning to control speech movement needed to produce a sequence or series of speech sounds.

Treatment techniques are based on Principles of Motor Learning (PML) so that each camper

has opportunities for repetitive practice,

learns to generalize speech outside of the treatment space

Treatment methods include DTTC and PROMPT

Camper meets for 30 minutes 4x each week for at least 2 weeks.

Must have one of the following:

a current IEP with updated speech goals

a recent (within last 3 months) speech-language evaluation or progress report with current speech goals

Each camper is required to participate in a 15-20 minute video session to confirm appropriate group placement
