  • Apraxia Treatment Camp is designed for children diagnosed with Childhood Apraxia of Speech.

  • One-on-one intervention focuses on learning to control speech movement needed to produce a sequence or series of speech sounds.

  • Treatment techniques are based on Principles of Motor Learning (PML) so that each camper

  • has opportunities for repetitive practice,

  • learns to generalize speech outside of the treatment space

  • Treatment methods include DTTC and PROMPT

  • Camper meets for 30 minutes 4x each week for at least 2 weeks.

  • Must have one of the following:

  • a current IEP with updated speech goals

  • a recent (within last 3 months) speech-language evaluation or progress report with current speech goals

  • Each camper is required to participate in a 15-20 minute video session to confirm appropriate group placement

  • Individual sessions only
